Trisodium Citrate also known as sodium citrate, it is an organic compound with a white to colorless crystal appearance. Odorless, with a cool, salty, spicy taste. It is stable at room temperature and in air, slightly soluble in wet air, and produces weathering in hot air. The crystal water is lost when heated to 150 ° C. Soluble in water, soluble in glycerin, insoluble in alcohol and other organic solvents, superheated decomposition, slightly delix in a humid environment, slightly weathered in hot air, the pH value of its solution is about 8.
Sodium citrate is used as acidity regulator, flavor agent and stabilizer in food and beverage industry. It is used as anticoagulant, expectorant and diuretic in pharmaceutical industry. In the detergent industry, it can replace sodium tripolyphosphate as the auxiliary agent of non-toxic detergent. It is also used for brewing, injection, photographic medicine and electroplating.
1) Food application:
