An organic compound, isomer of n-propanol, alias dimethylmethanol, 2-propanol, also known in industry as IPA. It is a clear, colorless liquid with an odor similar to that of ethanol and acetone. Soluble in water, but also soluble in alcohol, ether, benzene, chloroform and other organic solvents. Isopropyl alcohol is an important chemical product and raw material. Mainly used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics, spices, coatings and so on.

Product Application
As an organic raw material and solvent has a wide range of uses:
1. Used as a defoamer for water-based fracturing fluid in oil Wells, the air forms an explosive mixture, which causes combustion and explosion in case of open fire and high heat energy.
2. Isopropyl alcohol as a cleaning and degreasing agent, MOS level is mainly used for discrete devices and medium and large scale integrated circuits, level is mainly used for very large scale integrated circuit processes.
3. Used in electronics industry, can be used as cleaning agent.
4. Used as diluent of adhesive, extractant of cottonseed oil, solvent of nitrocellulose, rubber, paint, shellac, alkaloid, oil and so on. It is also used in antifreeze, dehydrating agent, preservative, antifogging agent, medicine, pesticide, fragrance, printing industry, cosmetics and organic synthesis.
5. It is a relatively cheap solvent in industry, a wide range of uses, can be freely mixed with water, and the solubility of lipophile substances is stronger than ethanol.
6. For the production of diisoacetone, isopropyl acetate, thymol and gasoline additives.
7. It can be used for defatting tissue membrane of animal origin.
